Louisville, Ky –Following in the footsteps of name brands like
DKNY and Michael Kors, Louisville handbag designer Susan Rapp debuted
her spring line and signature “bow bag” globally at Olympus New York
Fashion Week September 8-15, 2006. The “bow bag” caught the attention of
major fashion and accessory editors at national publications such as
Vogue and O Magazine.
“The bow bag is a classy and unique design that was inspired in the
South for fashionable women nationwide,” said Rapp. “Showcasing my line
at Fashion Week in New York City, the center of what’s new and trendy,
was an exciting opportunity for me.”
The Louisville, Kentucky designer realized the inspiration for her
signature bow bags two years ago in a dream. Her dreams of this handbag
were so vivid that she quickly sprung from her slumber and began
designing the smart, classy bags that have become her signature.
Her linen spring line is charming and playful, and is finished with a
variety of vintage grosgrain ribbon. The bags are available to
retailers, reps, and wholesalers in orders of six or more. Prices range
from $245 to $365.
The former interior designer turned handbag designer has been featured
at Von Maur department stores and boutiques around the world, along with
